LEMTOOLS was established in 1972, in Johannesburg South Africa by German craftsman Reiner Lämmle, as a high-precision cutting tool and sharpening company using the finest European techniques and controls to manufacture special-purpose  and custom-designed blades using such materials as tungsten-carbide for superior performance and extended working life. Literally and truly CUTTING EDGE TECHNOLOGY AT ITS BEST.

LEMTOOLS was approached to satisfy the urgent need for top-class eqipment for the EQINE DENTAL TECHNICIANS, and thus the LEM EQUINE TOOL section was founded in 2005, under the same original founder’s personal supervision, with our priority being to design, engineer, manufacture and supply the most advanced and reliable EQUINE DENTAL HAND TOOLS and CUTTING RASPS available.

To this end, an innovative new “blade clamping system” was created to maximise the efficiency of the hand-float. Using this patented “DOVETAIL RAIL” clamping system allows the use of lighter, “SLIM LINE” floats and rasps. This, in turn, saves time and effort for the dental vet or technician. This translates into at least FIVE TO TEN EXTRA re-sharpenings possible per “normal” blade converted to the DOVETAIL SYSTEM, which will save huge expenditure on new blade replacements.

Another great time-saver is the quick and easy method of changing rasps using the same SLIM LINE FLOAT, as all blades fit all floats. To change from coarse-cut, to fine-cut takes but a moment. Similarly, the blade in use, can be inserted into a differently-configured float by using our Adaptors in seconds

The LEM EQUINE TOOLS rasps are cut to a patented design, allowing in a relaxed, smooth cutting action, resulting in a uniform finish to the tooth surface.
